We Are Labeled

   Greetings, and welcome,

I am John Wright, the founder of aloveoffering.org. Most people know me as Iain Mac an tSaoir, which is the Gaelic for my given name. That is also the name under which I have written for a very long time. For longer than that I was a professing Pagan. Most of the time I was virulently anti-Christian. Had it been legal I would have likely been as was the Apostle Paul, while he was still a persecutor of Christians. That was before the Lord called him out. When I was eleven years old I went to church with a neighbor boy. Soon, experiencing abject terror, I said the prayer and "got saved". As it was simply fear and not faith, and soon the fear wore off. Eventually I stopped even going to church. I was "pagan" for years before I actually began treading down any specific Pagan path. At a certain point I began looking for "the ways of my ancestors". I first landed in Wicca. In that religion I came to be the high priest of a coven. I then moved from that to the classical and historical Pagan ways of my Gaelic ancestors. Some 15 years ago I even started an international education organization for Gaelic culture in general and Pagan Gaelic Traditionalism in specific. Then the Lord called me out. It still exists though for obvious reasons I don't research or write for it anymore. No bright lights mind you, but a calling out none the less. I am now wholly Christian, a firm believer in the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus the Christ). Again, this site was founded by a man who walked in the Pagan world for over thirty years. The last fifteen of those was as an internationally known Pagan leader. I went 29 years without any experience in a Christian church.

This website is for both Pagan and Christian. While others here and I are no longer Pagan, we have many loved ones who are still Pagan. They ask us questions, and we give the best answers we can. For other Pagans as well, perhaps this website can help dispell some of the misconceptions about Christianity and the Faith. Maybe our own life stories can help you understand. Perhaps they can help you obtain a whole new perspective. So yes, myself and whoever else might want to help, with our hearts full of love, simply hope to help Pagans understand the ideals of the Faith. There is as much trash out there about us as there is about you. Its not my job to convert you. I just want to make sure you understand what Christianity is really about. As no apologies are needed, I do this with no apologies at all, and without any dilutions.

When I was putting together the Clannada I committed myself, and the project, to giving only the best information available, using only the most reliable sources. It was a commitment to the truth. As a result, the Clannada na Gadelica became one of few places where people knew they could go for the actual, no holds barred facts about Celtic cultural traditions. Because of its tenacious quest for the facts, the Clannada was very influential in the development of modern Celtic paganism. In that era even the Irish government had a link to that mostly pagan website. The same pledge is made to you now. Only the truth will be here. I am not trying to convert you. That is between you and G-d. I only ask my brothers and sisters who are still in the Pagan community to read this website with an open heart and an open mind. If you have a question or concern write. I love you and we'll work through communications glithces. Just keep that open mind and heart as you read.

For the Christian, our prayer is that this ministry will help on many levels. We live in perilous times, times in which deception runs rampant. May G-d use my experiences and knowledge to strengthen our Brethern in the Faith from falling to deception. Deception is all over the place in the Faith. I also hope that our fellow believers will come to nurture and love Pagan peoples with whom they interact, as opposed to making common blunders. Ultimately, may G-d see this ministry give Christians the tools they will need to overcome in the days and years ahead.

The name of this site tells exactly what the site is, a love offering. This site is the offering of a labor of love for G-d, and for people. The name accurately reflects the spirit in which this is all given.

Maranatha!
